Chard Reservoir

Chard Reservoir is 48 acres of open water. It is popular venue for Match Anglers, Carp Anglers, Ornithologist and Walkers alike. Carp (to 33lb), Bream (to 7lb), Tench and Roach dominate this water. There is a circular walk through the woods and around the Reservoir with a high percentage of the pathways accessible to the less able visitor. Chard and District Angling Club in conjunction with South Somerset District Council control the waters.

Night fishing is permitted and proves very popular amongst the Carp Anglers as the swims are large and accessible for bivies. A member of C&DAC will come around during the day to collect payment and issue permits. You may arrive at any time and set up on either the dam wall, next to the car park or in the woods.

Tickets are valid from 8am for 24 hours and cost £10 for non-members, £8 for members and £4 for Juniors. See carp park notice board for rules and any updates.
