Details
Barlow Trout and Coarse Fishery is set in 50 acres of beautiful secluded valley on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District and quite close to the South Yorkshire border.
The four coarse lakes, situated at the far end of the fishery contain all the variety of fish that you would expect to find in a high quality water. In particular. there are some fine specimens of large carp. One lake is devoted almost entirely to carp. Re-stocking takes place on a regular basis. Most of the stock, including carp, is home produced. Club matches can be staged by arrangement. Tel: (0114 289 0543)
Because of the close proximity of the Keepers' Lane car park, the coarse lakes are particularly well suited to disabled anglers.
Recommended baits include:- Maggots (whites and pinkies), sweetcorn, luncheon meat and, in summer, floating bread crust.
Fishing tackle is available for hire.
