Izaak Walton Fishery is set in 43 acres of beautiful open countryside on the outskirts of the quiet village of Chebsey. This tranquil setting makes the fishery extremely popular with both the day and match angler. It is 2 miles from Eccleshall and 4 miles from junction 14 of the M6. A friendly and relaxed fishing venue in the West Midlands, with 5 pools.
Top Pool
This is the largest pool, at 3.75 acres. It has an island to fish off and a sunken island with Iris and Lillies growing from it. It is a well stocked pool with Rudd, Roach, Tench, (up to 8 lbs), Perch, Chub, Bream, Crucian, Mirror and Common Carp. It has a maximum depth of 10 feet and can accommodate 43 anglers on permanent pegs.
Middle Pool
Pool 3, the middle pool, has a maximum depth of 7 feet and contains all of the above fish. There are 23 permanent pegs on this pool and an island to fish too.
Bottom Pool
Pool 4, the bottom pool, is 2,75 acres with a central island and has all of the above fish. This pool can accommodate up to 35 anglers. The depth ranges from 4 to 14 feet with an average depth of 8 feet.
The Canal
The latest addition to the fishery is the Canal, which can accommodate 33 anglers and has a depth of 6 feet. It is stocked with all the above fish and is a favourite with both the match angler and day tickets. The banks of the canal are flat and are suitable for disabled anglers and clubs.
