Rib Valley Fishing Lakes consists of three still-water lakes, Rib Lake, Millennium Lake, and Westmill Lake. The lakes are situated in the picturesque Rib Valley immediately adjacent to the River Rib at Ware in Hertfordshire.
Westmill Carp Lake
A new lake opened on 29th March 2002, located up stream of the existing trout lakes, extending to 2.75 acres with three islands and averaging 5 feet deep, DEPTH THROUGH CENTRE OF LAKE 6 FEET The lake will accommodate 45 anglers rods for coarse fishing, with a car park, small lodge and other facilities adjacent to the lake. The lake is open throughout the year. Stocking includes mainly carp, to 20lbs, Tench to 7lbs, and some mixed silver fish species.
Millennium Lake
Millennium Lake was opened in January 2000 and is approximately 4.5 acres with water depths averaging 10 feet deep and was stocked as a trout lake up to June 2004.
Due to increasing demand for coarse fishing this lake has switched to coarse fishing
This lake holds large quantities of Roach, Rudd and Perch, mainly small but with good numbers of larger fish, Roach to 1lb, Perch to 2.5lbs and Rudd to1lb. Around 1000 small Tench were added Autumn 2004 and 1000 Silver Bream to 5lbs in February 2006.
