Lake run by Middlesborough Angling Club
Situated on the outskirts of Gillingham in Dorset, on the B3092 towards East Stour, the Lodden Lakes fishery is easy to find and has good access. A wide selection of course fish can be found in the larger lake, situated closest to the road, and Carp, varying in sizes, and up to 25Lb are common in the smaller lake, ensuring a great days fishing for even the hardened enthusiast.
DDAS now have exclusive use of the new, 2.5 acre LODGE LAKE’ (adjacent to the lodge on the left as you turn into the farmyard). This is in place of the original lake at the bottom end of the complex, which is now a specimen lake.

Lower Slade is stocked with mirror and common carp to 25lb, bream to 8lb, perch to 4lb, roach, rudd, gudgeon and pike to 22lb. Slade was restocked in 2007 with 50 carp weighing 4-5lb.
Lower Tamar is a season ticket only water with restricted numbers. But if great fishing and beautiful surroundings is what youre looking for it could be the place for you. With carp to 35lb, bream to 14lb and roach to 3lb it offers excellent sport. Bags of 50lb are not uncommon on pole, feeder or float.

Magpie Lake is open all year by day ticket on the bank (£6/£4). Two matches are fished per week, when the water is closed to casual anglers, although some pegs may still be available - look for details on Magpie gate.
Mangerton Coarse Fishing Lake is one and a half acres in size with varying depths of up to 20 feet. It is well stocked with carp (up to 28lb), roach and tench. There are two submerged islands in the lake where the carp like to bask.

This fishery is well stocked with mirror and common carp to 31lb. Good mixed bags to 50lb of roach, rudd, hybrids and quality bream to pole, float and feeder. Melbury is a fishery well worth trying. 5lb 11oz perch caught in 2004 was a British record at the time.
The lake is set in beautiful surroundings and is approx 2 acres in size. We have a very good selection of fish such as Carp, Roach, Tench and Golden Rudd, which have now grown to a very juicy size. We have recently added some more mirror and common carp to our existing stock. The Carp range from 1lb to 28lb in weight

The Moors Lake was dug in 1985, primarily to help control flooding along the lower reaches of the Moors River south of the Country Park. The northern end of the lake was de-silted in the autumn of 2003. It is fed by the Moors River, has a maximum depth of 2 metres, a natural clay bottom and covers an area of 9 acres. The following fish, of quality size, are regularly caught: Roach, Rudd, Tench, Pike and Dace.

Approximately 5 acres with depths of up to 12 feet. A pond containing lots of fish make this the ideal place for bagging up. Whether you want Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd or Tench this pond has all in abundance! A lot of the Carp are now well into double figures so if you are targeting them use adequate tackle.
Approximately 25 acres and depths of up to 14 feet. This lake is spring fed and is generally clear. It is predominantly a specialist fishery but can offer good sport to the pleasure angler with bags of Roach and Rudd. Quality Carp (to over 30lb) Tench (to over 8lb) and Bream can be expected along with Roach to over 2lb.
