This quiet lake is very well stocked with carp well over 30lb with a good head of 20s. The lake record is a 46lb mirror carp caught in 2007. Regular 48 hour carp competitions are held with limited space available. Like Porth it is recognised as a major match fishing competition water. 50lb bags of bream and roach can be expected. Anglers breakfasts can be booked for competitions by phoning 01288 321262.

The Willesley Estate comprises a total area of forty acres – the lake being twenty four acres surrounded by a mature forest of sixteen acres with a fast stream which drains the lake running through the woods. Several platforms or pontoons have been constructed, two specifically to allow fishing from a wheelchair, and also to enable these disabled fishermen access to convenient pegs from which to enjoy the beauty of the lake and its best fishing stock.
Turn off the A603 at Willington towards Great Barford. The entrance is located on the left just after crossing over the cycle path (dismantled railway) bridge.

Consisting of a 1.5 acre, 21 peg lake that is set in the beautiful Cornish countryside and maintained privately. Woonsmith is stocked with well conditioned fish including specimen Carp, Tench, Bream, Perch, Roach and Rudd. Woonsmith is also suitable for disabled persons with purpose built platforms and ramps leading down to the Lagoon.
