Old Mill is a season ticket only water with a restricted number of anglers. Permits are very limited due to the popularity of this 2 acre lake with excellent quality and quantity of carp over 30lb. Roach to 2lb can be expected and carp can be caught off the surface.
Old Slade Lake is a fifty acre venue which in certain areas reaches up to sixty five feet in depth. The shallowest part of the lake is around the island, from which the lake gradually shelves in depth until it reaches the first of the perimeter roads which were used to extract the gravel when the pit was dug.
Orlitts Lake comprises of two waters – Big Orlitts and Little Orlitts, both of which are fishable on the Orlitts Season Ticket. Orlitts carp population currently comprises at least one Common Carp that scraped over 40lb in 2006, up to seven thirties, over a hundred 20lb fish and rakes of doubles. There are also some large tench which have been banked in excess of 9lb along with some big Bream and large perch.

2 interconnected lakes. The original pond is 3 quarters of an acre and up to 10 feet deep around this a further half-moon shaped lake has been recently excavated just under 2 acres and averages about 4-5 feet deep. All the swims have been platformed and total around 30. A pleasant water in its infancy, with easy access and parking on site. Fairly weedy in places currently but good sport all year round.

Rodney Meadow has been the focus of a lot of time and effort over the last few seasons. The new fish stocked in 2007 have been doing exceedingly well, with well over half of them now in excess of twenty pounds. The old originals are flourishing too, with new records being set – including the ¾ Linear which was banked in June 2008 at 44lb 4oz.

Directions: From the A420 Bristol to Chippenham Road turn right at Wick passing Tracey Park Golf Course. Then bear left to Lower Hamswell crossing over the next crossroad. Follow this lane down to the hamlet of Lower Hamswell and the car park will be found on the left after passing over two cattle grids. Follow the signs from the car park across two fields to the lake.

Thornton Reservoir is a picturesque 70 acre Leicestershire trout fishery nestling in the shadow of the local church at the village of Thornton.
Tiddenfoot is situated on the outskirts of Leighton Buzzard. The land is owned by South Bedfordshire District Council and forms part of the Tiddenfoot Park. The lake is a flooded sand/gravel quarry. It is well established with good weed growth and a very rich food supply. Depths are variable, with the shallow side of a few feet to 20 feet in the deeper areas. The lake is well stocked with many species of fish.
Tockenham Reservoir near Lyneham lies just three miles from M4 intersection 16 via the A3102. This beautiful 12.5 acre lake, surrounded by oak woodland, was created in 1810 to provide water for the Wilts and Berks Canal. It was purchased by us in 1980 when we were Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire Amalgamated Anglers. It has since been developed into a magnificent fishery stocked with carp to 30lb, tench to 7lb, bream to 8lb, plus roach, perch and crucian carp. All fishing is from platforms, including three purpose built for the wheelchair disabled, and there are good parking facilities.

This reservoir on Dartmoor offers excellent pike fishing with fish to 30lb. Methods that can be used - spinners, plug, fly, dead sea fish (no livebaiting). Being that the venue is owned by the national trust, there is no fishing during the Closed Season (14th March - 16th June).

This quiet lake is very well stocked with carp well over 30lb with a good head of 20s. The lake record is a 46lb mirror carp caught in 2007. Regular 48 hour carp competitions are held with limited space available. Like Porth it is recognised as a major match fishing competition water. 50lb bags of bream and roach can be expected. The Willesley Estate comprises a total area of forty acres – the lake being twenty four acres surrounded by a mature forest of sixteen acres with a fast stream which drains the lake running through the woods. Several platforms or pontoons have been constructed, two specifically to allow fishing from a wheelchair, and also to enable these disabled fishermen access to convenient pegs from which to enjoy the beauty of the lake and its best fishing stock.
Turn off the A603 at Willington towards Great Barford. The entrance is located on the left just after crossing over the cycle path (dismantled railway) bridge.
