A stretch of the Hampshire Avon of approximately 3/4 Mile. The lower Severals stretch starts where the Bickerly millsteam joins the main river. This stretch offers some excellent trotting swims of varying depth. with the bottom boundary meeting the Avon Castle stretch. Avon Castle is far more sheltered than Lower Severals with heavy bankside vegitation throughout. Featured in an episode of Go Fishing with John Wilson, offers excellent Barbel and Chub fishing with some very big Bream reported.

RDAA recommend no less than 6lb line with a suitably strong hook.TOP TIP:Float fish clear gravel runs between weed beds for Dace, Chub and Barbel. Rolling meat can be devastating for Barbel, use a weighted size 4 hook buried in a lump of meat. Cast upstream onto clear gravel runs and 'feel' the bait trundle through the swim.
