River Colne

River Colne will provide mixed bags containing roach, dace, bleak, perch and chub. Stretching from the Tiger Cubs Indian restaurant on the Oxford Road just outside Uxbridge Town Centre to the weir at the bridge over the A40 Western Avenue, Boyer Leisure’s section of the River Colne provides over a quarter of a mile of single bank fishing. Producing some decent bags to anglers who get it right on the day the Colne has seen bream to 5lb and the odd tench to 4lb.

There are several areas that look very ‘chubby’ and multiple catches of chub to 4lb have been reported - the shallower sections produced a fish of nearly 6lb. Barbel have been reported from the area just south of the weir and have averaged 4-5lb with one report of a 9lb fish.

The weir pool directly south of the A40 bridge offers some decent pike fishing with reports of numerous jacks, a few doubles and one fish pushing 20lb.

The car parking for this venue is situated next to the Tiger Cubs restaurant and is accessed through combination locked gates.

The River Colne observes the traditional closed season which runs from June 16th until March 16th.

PARKING AND FISHING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON ANY AREA OF THIS BANKSIDE.
This includes the section inside the pedestrian gate at the side of the Anoopam Mission.
