River Stour - Hanford

Details

Approximately 1.25 miles of river upstream of Havelins Farm. Trees line the nearside riverbank throughout the stretch. A deep even paced stretch offering excellent Roach fishing and good Bream sport when the shoals are located. Very large Perch are present throughout the stretch with fish well over 3lb possible.

TOP TIP:
Float fishing caster or sweetcorn in Summer can produce good quality Roach.

PLEASE NOTE:
Mainly 8 - 10 ft deep. This fishery is heavily wooded and affords complete protection from South and East winds.
Pull to edges when parking in Hod Drive, so as not to obstruct this bridle path.
Drive slowly down this long track.
The downstream limit of this fishery adjoins the Havelins fishery.
Electricity pylons cross this water, please take caution.
