Waveney Valley Lakes

The fishery owes it’s origins to the 1960’s when thousands of carp, tench and bream were introduced into the lakes. Waveney Valley Lakes was soon recognised as something very special, and many well-known anglers made the complex famous by publicising captures of very big fish. Many of todays top carp anglers have fished Waveney extensively and have caught several of the named fish which are still in evidence today. 16 known 30lb carp, dozens of upper twenties and literally hundreds of 20s.

Winterley Pool Fishery

At 7.5 acres, the Specimen Pool has 14 well spaced pegs which are all on one bank (see map), and much of the far bank is protected by tree cover and snags. All the pegs are clearly marked and purpose built, and finished with bark and chip.

Yeomadon Lakes

Yeomadon Farm has four coarse fishing lakes set in peaceful farmland and woods. These are all situated within 200m of the self catering cottages. There is also a car park within 50 yards of the lakes which can be used by visitors from the cottages or by fishermen on day tickets. We have carp up to 20lbs and small tench, roach,bream and crucian carp. The lakes have always been mainly used by people staying in our cottages so they do not get over fished and the fish remain in good condition.

There are 2 lakes, each approximately 1 acre with mature banks and clearly identified pegs. The Carp lake holds lots of commons, mirrors and ghosts and has been virtually unfished. The Mixed lake is ideal for the match style angler, it is heavily stocked with Tench to 3lb, Crucians to 1½lb, Bream to 2½lb, Roach and Rudd to 2lb+ and Perch to 3lb. Also Carp to 10lb.
