Acorn Carp Fishery
- Somerset
Acorn Carp Fishery officially opened June 2001. The carp lake is approximately 3.5 acres. There are some 550 Carp currently in our lake. Around 300 doubles, 200 mid doubles, 30 high doubles, and the remainder 20s up to 30lb at the moment. The lake is usually netted each year and all the small carp are collected and stocked into the smaller stock pond.
Adamsfield Fishery

There are three lakes all fed by spring water on the land. Each lake has its own islands which provide plenty of pockets of fish which are within easy casting from the margins. The depths of the lakes vary between 2ft at the edges to over 14ft in the deepest parts. All the lakes are easily accessible and all the pegs are a generous size to enable the angler to set up equipment comfortably. There is space behind most of the pegs to accommodate shelters for when night fishing is available.

The Alderfen complex consists of three lakes and a smaller pond. It is situated at Wroot, North Lincs., and is within easy reach of South and West Yorks., Humberside and the East Midlands, being close to the M62, M18, M180 and A1.

The spring fed lakes cover a total of 3 and a half acres and offer a full variety of sport. As a direct result of the mineral-rich spring feeds, the venue has built a reputation of producing bumper fish to 30lb plus and bulging match weights to well over 200lb in the depth of winter.

BK Fisheries

Billys Pool - a very pretty lake of some 1.5 acres. Depths very from 4 to 8 feet with shallower water running down the middle of the lake with islands down the middle. Bills Pool - a very mature, pretty lake of some 2.5 acres. Depths range from 5 to 18 feet in the middle: average depths are around 10 to 12 feet.
Blackland Lakes

The coarse fishery at Blackland Lakes is comprised of two Lakes; the larger Heron Lake is approximately 1 acre with depths ranging from 4 to 12 feet. The second is Stans Lake over half an acre with depths from 4 to 9 feet. The later one was named after Stan Haines who constructed them in 1983 with his massive dragline excavator. The Chalky water has proved to be ideal for fish and they are in excellent condition.

Bradshaw Hall Fisheries

Bradshaw Hall Fisheries is a commercial coarse-fishery with the aim of promoting the benefits of angling as a peaceful and relaxing sport. All eight lakes are of historical importance as they were originally formed as features of the medieval Manor of Bradshaw dating from the 12th century, and then later extended to serve Hardcastles Textile Mill that ceased operation in 1963. The present day lakes have been improved and developed into a first class leisure facility. The current owners took over operation of the site as a fishery in the year 2000, which has since seen all coarse-fishing requirements catered for, from the beginner to the specimen hunter.
